You will learn to make the filling from scratch using pork, chives, cabbage, and fresh ginger and season with condiments such as soy sauce and sesame oil - essential flavors in traditional Chinese dumplings. You’ll also get to practice your knife skills when preparing the filling, vital skills that can be applied in your home kitchen. Then, fold the dumplings into a few different shapes. Who said you can't play with your food? Consider the art of dumpling making as a fun yet therapeutic activity of origami...except you are using dumpling wrappers and not papers. It's time to let your creativity flow! Chef Annria will also expertly instruct you on how to create hot & sour soup - comforting and appetizing at the same time. This popular soup is enriched with tons of healthy, energizing ingredients such as tofu, shiitake mushroom, scallions, egg, and chicken broth. Finally, you will learn how to make a special dipping sauce to perfectly accompany your finished dumplings.
