How about some Vietnamese Shaking Beef on the menu today? Also known as Bo Luc Lac, this wonderful stir-fried steak dish is a classic in Vietnamese cuisine. Marinated with sweet and savory sauce and "shaken" in the pan to perfection, it is served with freshly steamed rice and a simple salad. End your lovely Vietnamese meal on a sweet note with Banana Fritters, crispy and decadent, made even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step by our resident Vietnamese Chef Instructor, Huong. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly handle the meat and how to create a flavorful marinade for the steak stir-fry! Last but not least, we end our time together with a grand finale of sweet and indulgent banana fritters. Once you have created your masterpiece, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party!
No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: beef (filet mignon or ribeye is recommended for best texture,) garlic, onion, spring onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, lime/lemon, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, banana, cornstarch, flour, baking powder, egg, sparkling water, and powdered sugar. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.
