Discover the art of French macarons in this hands-on pastry class! Often considered tricky to master, these delicate French cookies are easier to make with the right techniques and guidance. Working in pairs, you’ll learn to make classic macaron shells in two delicious flavors: vanilla bean and rich chocolate. From weighing ingredients and folding the batter to the perfect consistency to piping even rounds and preparing the shells for baking, you’ll learn the secrets to creating beautiful macarons from scratch.
While your shells rest and bake, Chef Lina will demonstrate how to make vanilla bean white chocolate ganache and dark chocolate ganache to fill your macarons. You’ll also pick up helpful troubleshooting tips to avoid common challenges and recreate these treats at home. Then, you’ll fill and assemble your own macarons, swap flavors with a neighboring station, and leave with a box of homemade vanilla and chocolate macarons to enjoy!
