Traditional Asian Dumplings

Description

Treat yourself to a tour throughout Asia with this delicious experience in the Origin and making of the traditional Asian Dumpling!

In this hands-on class, you'll prepare two simple and flavorful dumpling fillings: Chicken, Scallion & Ginger and Tofu, Scallion & Ginger. Chef Tina will teach you how to properly season and mix dumpling filling, portion the right amount of filling, and master two beginner-friendly folding techniques using high-quality store bought wrappers.

After folding your own dumplings, you'll learn the pan-fry and steam method used to create juicy dumplings with crispy golden bottoms. Chef Tina will also demonstrate how to prepare a simple dumpling dipping sauce before everyone sits down to enjoy the fresh handmade dumplings.

No previous dumpling-making experience is required. This class is designed to be fun, social, approachable, and easy to recreate at home. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group.  Guests will work in groups throughout the class, sharing equipment and ingredients.  This class is BYOB! For those 21+, feel free to bring your favorite wine or beer to pair with your delicious and handmade meal.
