Discover the flavorful world of Asian Dumplings!
In this hands-on experience, our Chef Instructor will teach you how to make dumplings with an explosive flavor and a warm & chewy texture.
Guests will master the recipes for either a chicken or pork, and vegetarian filling to stuff their dumplings in the following traditional folding techniques: jiaozi, gyoza, and sheng jian bao.
Dive deep into the traditional flavors of ginger, sesame, coriander and scallions. Top your creations with a hint of Asian spice and everything nice. Then enjoy tasting your own dumpling creations with your new foodie friends.
Our Chef Instructor will demonstrate the technique behind the simple steaming and sautéing methods to try at home in order to enjoy your future dumplings as fresh as possible.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests 21+ are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only). There is a parking lot located on the south side of the building where the entrance is located, parking is approved and permitted on evenings of our classes!
Please note that late arrivals will not be admitted and the venue doors will automatically lock 15 minutes after the start time of class and chef will not be able to open doors as they are already in progress. Chef Sarah has a background in a variety of global cuisines and has trained in fine dining Japanese restaurants throughout Chicago. Her teaching style is laid-back and approachable while focusing on bold flavors using simple, quality ingredients.
