From Gnudi to Sorbet: An Italian Escape

Description

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into one of Italy’s best-kept secrets..... gnudi! In this hands-on class, we’ll transform simple, fresh ingredients into pillowy-soft ricotta dumplings that are as light as clouds and packed with flavor.

You’ll learn how to mix, shape, and gently cook gnudi to perfection, mastering the delicate balance that makes this rustic dish so special. Then, we’ll bring it all together with a vibrant, from-scratch pomodoro sauce—slow-simmered tomatoes, garlic, and herbs that create a rich, comforting base worthy of your handmade creation.

And because no Italian meal is complete without a refreshing finish, you’ll also whip up a bright and zesty fresh lemon sorbet, perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, and the ultimate palate cleanser after your savory masterpiece.

Along the way, you’ll pick up essential pasta-making techniques, tips for working with fresh cheeses, and the secrets to building bold, authentic Italian flavors at home.

Whether you're a pasta lover or just looking to expand your culinary skills, this class is equal parts cozy, creative, and delicious. Come hungry, you’ll be tasting every step of the way!

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Jaime graduated culinary school in 2010, where she studied savory cooking, with a very soft spot for sweets and pastry. She then worked in a recreational cooking school for two years covering every kind of cuisine and technique people wanted to learn. Some chefs prefer to be creative (cooking) and others methodical (baking), but she loves both so she has worked in both savory and sweet kitchens since then. Jaime has tips and tricks that work for all kinds/levels of learners. She's worked everywhere from small cafes to fine dining and everything in between and loves questions. She's excited to share knowledge!
