Rustic Italian: Pasta, Pesto & Grilled Vegetables

Description

Step into the heart of Italian cooking with this fresh, flavor-packed pasta experience! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make handmade pasta from scratch—mixing, kneading, and rolling your dough to achieve that perfect silky texture before shaping it into beautiful, rustic strands.

Next, we’ll create a vibrant spinach pesto sauce, blending fresh greens, garlic, herbs, nuts, and cheese into a smooth, aromatic sauce that’s both rich and refreshing. You’ll learn how to balance flavors and achieve the perfect consistency to complement your freshly made pasta.

To round out the dish, we’ll fire things up with a medley of fresh grilled vegetables. You’ll learn simple techniques for seasoning and grilling to bring out natural sweetness and add a smoky depth that pairs perfectly with the bright pesto and tender pasta.

This class is all about fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and building confidence in the kitchen. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned home cook, you’ll walk away with new skills, creative inspiration, and a delicious, well-rounded meal you can recreate anytime.

Come hungry—this is comfort food with a fresh, vibrant twist!

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Jaime graduated culinary school in 2010, where she studied savory cooking, with a very soft spot for sweets and pastry. She then worked in a recreational cooking school for two years covering every kind of cuisine and technique people wanted to learn. Some chefs prefer to be creative (cooking) and others methodical (baking), but she loves both so she has worked in both savory and sweet kitchens since then. Jaime has tips and tricks that work for all kinds/levels of learners. She's worked everywhere from small cafes to fine dining and everything in between and loves questions. She's excited to share knowledge!
