Taste of Thailand: Classic Pad Thai and Green Papaya Salad

This class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Escape to the streets of Thailand as we create two of the most famous Thai classics, a flavorful Pad Thai and refreshingly tangy Green Papaya Salad!

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this Thai classic known for its diverse flavor profile of sweet, salty, sour and spicy. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly prepare the traditional noodles and how to build the flavor profile of an authentic Pad Thai sauce from scratch! You will also put your knife skills to use through creating the authentic Green Papaya salad, also known as Som Tam. Once you have created your masterpiece, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies in class. You will also gain insight on how to source fresh, seasonal ingredients and specialty spices in order to recreate the perfect Pad Thai again at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party, working together to share equipment and ingredients. Aprons will be provided for you to use throughout class. Our venue partner, BarMeli69, will have a selection of beer & wine available for purchase. Please note that drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in your ticket price. Outside drinks are not available.

Chef Rebecca began her cooking career in NYC and had spent 35 years traveling the globe to find exciting recipes to add to her culinary skills. In addition to being a culinary instructor of many cuisines, Chef Rebecca also has a successful catering company in the Miami area, and a home meal service which brings healthy and delicious meals weekly to you door.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
