French Macaron

Description

Be transported to the patisseries of Paris with this classic French Macaron class!

Don your chef aprons, grab your whisks and let's get baking! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn the fine art to making these mouthwatering morsels that are easy enough to be done in your own kitchen! Together with our classically trained Pastry Chef Instructor, we will demystify the making of these highly sought-after meringue-based sandwich cookies. Our Pastry Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating the process of meringue mixing, otherwise known as 'macaronage', piping, baking, assembling and of course, eating! We will also explore a few flavor profiles and filling variations such as buttercream, ganache, and fruit preserves to make your macarons really stand out from the rest!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don't already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who's happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only)

Chef Gabriel was thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. Though he was serious about the class, he had a subtle humor that kept it light and enjoyable. Even faced with some rank amatuers, the end product met all expectations and then some. Kudos Chef

It was great. I liked the the way he walked around to make sure each person was doing everything correctly. I would for sure do another class.

Gabriel was great! Class was fun. I would have liked it if maybe during our down time- if he could have maybe talked a little more- maybe teaching us little techniques, or the history of macarons- something a little more engaging. But overall we had fun!
