Escape to Italy for the night with our decadent Italian Dessert and Espresso class! If you are a self confessed sweet tooth and/or coffee appreciator, then this class is for you!
Experience sweet indulgence recreating these simple, elegant desserts which are sure to impress when you try your hand later at home! You will be guided step-by-step in creating the classic Tiramisu, the traditional Zabaione and the perfect Italian Espresso from an old world Espresso machine. You will be educated on the history of Tiramisu, which translates to "pick me up", before whipping up this creamy, indulgent dessert from whipped cream, mascarpone, bittersweet chocolate and coffee liqueur. You will then use a few simple ingredients to create the warm, fluffy, boozy, egg custard known as the Zabaione; traditionally prepared table-side and served over cake with fresh fruit. As you devour your hand-made creations at the end of the evening whilst sipping on your Espressos, we guarantee you'll be singing 'That's Amore!'
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the dessert and coffee enthusiasts who want to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 3-4.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
