In this fun, hands-on, and interactive class, learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven! Your Chef Instructor will teach you the tricks of the trade on how to make sushi and spring rolls like a pro. Learn the recipe for perfect sushi rice, cut your fresh ingredients using proper knife skills, and master the art of rolling using a variety of techniques.

All participants will make three rolls: Spicy Scallop Hand Roll,Inside Out Roll (with yellowtail, cucumber, and mango), and a Shrimp Spring Roll. Enjoy your rolls with two custom made-from-scratch sauces: Thai Sweet Chili Peanut and a Basic Spicy Mayo.

All you need to bring to this class is your curiosity and appetite! You can be confident this class will be an absolute delight whether the occasion is for a family activity, team building event, or surprising your partner on a romantic date night. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Our venue partner, Quigley Fine Wines, will have a wonderful selection of pours waiting for you. Hailing from New York where he gained his culinary degree and training, Chef Scott has excellent experience working with some of the top chefs, restaurant groups, and catering companies and has recently relocated to Tampa. He now offers teaching classes and his culinary expertise around Tampa for a wide range of clients.

The Quigley Fine Wines tasting room is open weekly Tuesday through Saturday from 4pm to 9pm. Comfortable and welcoming, the space allows clients to taste the boutique wines of Europe, Australia, and New Zealand that are carried exclusively through Quigley Fine Wines––as well as wines crafted by top California and Oregon winemakers. We now have 34 vineyards around the world that we are exclusive to in the United States. The tasting room is also available as a conveniently located, private event space in Downtown San Diego.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

The class was great and well organized from the food prep standpoint; we could take a lot of work went into making those preparations. The room, however, was noisy and I'm not sure why, on a cold night, the large window was left open. We all had to keep our jackets on. The noise came from the "bar" next door which doesn't have separate partitions all the wall up to the ceiling. Their music was also piped into our side right above our table. I already have a hearing problem, and this made the class, under these conditions, a challenge. I would attend another class by Scott, but probably not at this location.
