Valentine's Day Date: Make Your Own Bagels

Description

If you've spent time in NYC we're willing to bet that one of the most memorable moments you had was eating a bagel. New York Bagels are just simply the best!

Join Chef Jason in his Manhattan kitchen as he teaches you the secret to making your own bagels at home. Follow the process of making the dough, which you will do several times throughout class so you'll be an expert bagel maker in no time! Learn the recipe for three different types of bagels: plain, cumin & cheddar, and raisin. Each will be paired with it's own cream cheese spread, which you will also make along with the chef.

Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun afternoon creating something from scratch, together. Kids are welcome to cook along! No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jason throughout the class.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: all purpose flour, baking soda, granulated sugar, salt, active dry yeast, vegetable oil, raisins, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, tahini, chili powder or cumin, onion, avocado, lime juice, and honey.

Measure out your ingredients ahead of the session, grab a glass of your favorite drink, and let’s get baking!

Tickets are on a per-person basis. Please note our class times are in Eastern Time Zone!

This was a totally lovely experience. I participated with my mom. My sister joined via zoom from the East Coast and when the class was over we ate our bagels together. We had a great time. Jason was patient and encouraging and I can't wait to do this again.

I have loved every class I have a taken with CocuSocial! I have taken 2 now from Chef Jason and he is so great! He doesn’t just hustle through the recipe but teaches you things that could be helpful in future baking experiences. I always feel like I have a bit more understanding of how cooking/baking works after I’ve taken a class, it’s super fun 5/5 would recommend!
