Pizza and Tiramisu from Scratch

Description

This class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Pizza and tiramisu- two of Italy's most beloved creations, brought together in one fabulous cooking experience.

In this fun and hands-on class, you'll learn how to create a complete Italian feast from scratch. We'll begin by preparing your tiramisu, layering espresso-soaked cookies with a rich, creamy mascarpone filling. Your tiramisu will then chill while you turn your attention to the star of the show: homemade pizza.

Chef John will guide you through the process of preparing the dough, stretching, shaping, and topping your own pizza. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or like to get creative, you'll have the opportunity to customize your pie before it heads into the oven.

As the pizzas bake, you'll pick up tips and techniques for recreating both dishes at home, from working with dough to balancing flavors in traditional Italian cooking.

Once everything is ready, you'll sit down with fellow food lovers to enjoy your freshly made goods.

No experience necessary- just bring your appetite and a love of great food! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Each pair will make one large pizza to share (usually 16") . BYOB is welcome, so for those over 21+ please feel free to bring your own beer and wine. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase from the hotel's market. Bring your curiosity and appetite!

Chef John has spent the past 13 years immersed in European life and culinary traditions. His training took him from mastering pasta in Florence, to perfecting Pizza Napoletana in Naples, and learning the art of cheesemaking in Calabria. After a successful career in finance, John decided to follow his true passion- food. Today, he specializes in handcrafted pasta and artisan bread, blending technique with creativity in every dish.

When he’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find him exploring new destinations, savoring great wines, or  unwinding on any beach he can find.
