Take a trip to Bangkok for the evening in this hands-on and exclusive small group cooking class with Chef Manifa, whose extensive travel and living abroad experiences in Hong Kong and Bangkok add authentic touch to her cooking and recipes.
We’ll kick things off with a creamy Thai iced tea before diving into the bold, bright flavors of Thailand. Together, we’ll make a rich red coconut curry and a fresh, punchy green papaya salad while learning how to work with classic Thai ingredients like lemongrass, makrut lime, galangal, Thai basil, fish sauce and chilies. We’ll learn how to crush, bruise, toast and extract the most flavor from these beautiful ingredients, and how to balance sweet, salty, sour, spicy and savory so every dish tastes vibrant, layered and straight out of Bangkok.
This is a perfect occasion for a romantic date night, a team building event, or a unique family get-together.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
Guests are invited to bring their own wine, beer, or champagne.
Chef Manifa is a classically French-trained Le Cordon Bleu graduate with more than two decades of experience across nearly every corner of the culinary world. Her career has taken her from Michelin-starred restaurant kitchens and large-scale catering to private cheffing, culinary producing and food styling. Also a certified holistic nutritionist, she brings a thoughtful understanding of ingredients and flavor to everything she creates. Above all, she loves teaching, sharing the techniques, stories and knowledge gathered throughout a lifelong career in food and making great cooking feel approachable, exciting and fun.
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Guests are invited to BYOB wine, champagne or beer. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+.
