Fresh Handmade Pasta Alla Checca

Description

Join us for a vibrant and refreshing culinary experience as we explore the art of making Spaghettini alla Checca, a classic Italian dish that celebrates simplicity and fresh ingredients.

Alla Checca is a traditional Roman-style preparation known for its light, uncooked sauce made from ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic and olive oil. Unlike heavier pasta sauces, Alla Checca is all about brightness and balance—letting high-quality ingredients shine without being overworked. It’s the perfect example of how Italian cuisine transforms a handful of simple components into something truly extraordinary.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create fresh spaghettini pasta from scratch and select the best seasonal ingredients, properly prepare and balance the sauce. We’ll also cover essential techniques for layering flavors and achieving that signature fresh, summery taste.

Whether you’re new to cooking or looking to expand your Italian repertoire, this class offers a delicious way to master an elegant, no-fuss dish that you’ll want to make again and again.

Come ready to cook, taste, and enjoy a little slice of Italy!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Our venue partner Garcons de Cafe will have a wonderful selection of pours available for purchase. Outside drinks are not allowed.
