Delicious Doughnuts

Description

Delicious, divine, and absolutely decadent...there is no dessert more indulgent than doughnuts!

Join Chef Jason in his Manhattan kitchen, while he takes you through the step-by-step process of making half a dozen donuts with 3 different sugar icings from scratch. Once you bake these cake-y, out of this world doughnuts, you will glaze them with icing.

This is a family friendly class so feel free to invite your friends and relatives to virtually enjoy a sweet late morning or afternoon of making doughnuts together! The taste testing will surely be the best part. No baking experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jason throughout the class and ask questions along the way.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: all purpose flour, powdered sugar, corn starch, salt, baking powder, butter, milk, egg, vegetable or canola oil.

Prepare your mis-en-place ahead of the session by measuring out your ingredients, grab a glass of your favorite drink, and let’s get baking! Tickets are on a per-person basis. Please note our class times are in Eastern Time Zone!

Chef Jason was terrific. I appreciate the way he engaged us and answered questions as they arose. The instructions he gave we very clear and I loved the extra “cooking” tidbits he included. My only concern was the timing. This class was slated for 90 mins and the last 20 mins was more rushed than needed. Maybe the class time should be extended. Yes, Jason made himself available for extended time, so that was great, but unfortunately I had to scoot after 90 mins. I assumed because of the timing advertised that we would be well wrapped up by 2:00. I have definitely recommended this as a fun activity especially during this unusual time of social distancing.

Easy to follow instructions and some useful tips for cooking! It would have been nice to be able to see Chef Jason’s cooking demo a bit better.

Jason did a great job of explaining exactly what to do for each step. He even gave suggestions for other ingredients that could be used or why this way was the best. He was extremely calm and patient.

Jason was very welcoming to everyone in the class and his directions were easy to follow. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was because I thought the camera work could have been better. It was hard to see what he was doing. If this had be a more difficult class - I would have had a hard time following. Perhaps if the camera had been facing him and showed the whole picture at one time - that might have helped. Class was very enjoyable and I would like to take another one sometime. My friends helped to make my Pandemic birthday much more enjoyable. Thanks. Marcia McBeath

Chef Jason did a great job of guiding us through the recipe. I liked getting the recipe ahead of time so I was fully prepared for the class. Jason took time to answer our questions and give us some great baking tips! The donuts were delicious!

Jason was great. His instructions were very clear and he gave some good tips. The only critique I have is his second camera. The demonstration camera was not easily seen on Zoom because it was a small screen like the other participant's. If that was the main camera, it would have been easier to see what he was doing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would take another class.
