Step into the delicious world where classic French pastry meets irresistible street-style sweets in this fun, hands-on class. You’ll begin by mastering choux pastry- the light, airy dough that forms the base for both churros and éclairs. Learn how to pipe and fry golden, crispy churros served with a rich dipping sauce, then switch gears to create elegant éclairs filled with luscious pastry cream and finished with a glossy glaze. By the end, you’ll have the skills (and treats!) to impress any crowd.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
The nature of our classes are set up so that guests will work in groups during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Booking parties will sit together. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. The bar opens at 5pm, but beer and wine is available for purchase at the front desk prior. 21+ only please.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, I began my culinary journey working under the pastry chef at the iconic Biltmore Estate. After honing my craft there, I returned to New York, where I worked in some of the city’s most esteemed kitchens, including Danny Meyer’s Union Square Café, North End Grill under Chef Floyd Cardoz, Tom Colicchio’s Colicchio & Sons, and the legendary One if by Land, Two if by Sea. Today, I love sharing my passion for baking with my two young children, passing on the art and joy of the pastry world to the next generation.
