Bao Buns Masterclass

Description

There's a reason why Bao Buns are trending! Their pillowing soft texture and versatility for so many different filling options make them the perfect recipe to master in your next cooking class.

Learn to make dough from scratch and allow it to prove while you make your filling of choice. Your chef instructor will have dough that's already ready to work with while you wait for yours to rest. We like to keep things moving as there's lots to do! Once rested, you will shape and steam your dough until it forms the perfect shape and texture.

We will have 2 mouthwatering filling options available for you to choose from: Crunchy Chili Honey Glazed Chicken and Miso Glazed Eggplant. Break out your knife skills and get ready to learn a quick pickling technique to prepare your veggies. Trust us when we say, these flavors will blow you away!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase at the bar. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only please.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Justice had the blessing of being born and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan for three generations. Living in this diverse community exposed her from birth to the tastes and smells of Soul Food from lots of countries. This shaped her culinary point of view from the very beginning. We all have soul food no matter what the culture. She learned this by eating Jewish foods, Chinese foods, Puerto Rican and Italian foods on a daily basis. It is part of the tapestry of who she is, both as a human and a Chef.  Justice has a degree in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. She has been running her own Culinary and Consulting business now for over 15 years and has worked in large scale to boutique establishments.
