Be transported to the holidays in Paris, via the East Village, for an afternoon learning about the traditional Buche de Noel. The traditional Buche de Noel, or Christmas Yule Log, is the most famous dessert for the holidays in France.

The preparation of this delectable French pastry includes sponge cake, fresh butter cream and of course, baking! In this fun and interactive seasonal class, our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will guide students through each step to make and decorate their own Buche de Noel. Each student will then be able to take their festive creation home and share with family and friends this holiday season!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Please note that guests in parties of 3 or less may be paired with other participants. This class is NOT BYOB and drinks are NOT available for purchase at the venue. You will be provided with a takeaway container to enjoy your food at home after class.

As a trained French pastry chef, Simon likes to concoct exquisite desserts with a unique blend of flavors and textures. Creating a new pastry is always a challenge, but the excitement of presenting it for the first time to food-lovers, family, and friends is the driving force. He is most passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with everyone he meets.
Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Everyone MUST wash & sanitize hands upon arrival and remain at their stations throughout the class. Please note that guests in parties of 3 or less may be paired with other participants. The kitchen will be open ten minutes prior to the indicated start time of class and class will start promptly. PLEASE NOTE: should you arrive more than 15 minutes late to class the chef will not be able to accommodate you. This class is NOT BYOB. Classes will be taught by a resident Chef at Atelier Sucre.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
