French Bread from Scratch

Description

Discover the timeless art of artisan bread making in this hands-on baking class with Chef Will. Learn how to create a rustic Country French bread completely from scratch using traditional techniques that you can easily recreate at home.

Chef Will will guide you through every step of the process, from mixing and kneading the dough to shaping and baking a beautifully crusty loaf with a soft, airy interior. Along the way, you'll gain an understanding of the techniques that form the foundation of many classic breads, including French baguettes, giving you the confidence to continue your bread-baking journey beyond the class.

To complement your freshly baked bread, Chef Will shall demonstrate how to prepare a seasonal fruit jam, the perfect accompaniment to enjoy warm slices straight from the oven.

Whether you're new to bread making or looking to refine your baking skills, this class offers a fun, relaxed environment where you'll learn practical techniques, enjoy delicious homemade bread, and leave inspired to bake more at home. All ingredients and equipment are provided.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 3-4.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. BYOB is welcome, so for those over 21+ please feel free to bring your own beer and wine. Bring your curiosity and appetite!
