Fresh Mozzarella and Burrata

Mild and milky, smooth and silky: any way you stretch it, we love fresh mozzarella! And in this hands-on crash course we'll teach you how to make it at home. First we'll set you straight on coagulation as we tell you how milk turns from fluid to firm curds. Then we'll all roll up our sleeves to turn curds into the beautiful balls that we know as fresh mozzarella. Learn about selecting the right curd, proper water temperature, amount of salt and how to pull/fold to make your own mouth-watering ball of this Italian staple. Feel free to sample your cheese fresh or take it home to enjoy with a meal.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.  Guests in the same booking party will sit and work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue.  Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

She tended bars and catered events in Provincetown, MA, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Baltimore and in many a private homes for illustrious clients in the NYC entertainment industry. Carolyn's specialty cocktails, innovative recipes and vivacious energy have taken her to vacation spots in Europe, The Hamptons, Nantucket and the Bahamas where she loves to teach people how to pour the perfect drink or serve unforgettable dishes for every season and occasion. Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Carolyn was great and I mistakenly thought she said her name was Karen and that’s my mistake because of my hearing ! I took a photo of her email and only read her name last night, I apologize for that. I’ll repeat ,she was informative and perfectly clear in her instructions. She had a sense of humor throughout the class lesson . I really enjoyed learning the technique of making mozzarella and burrata , they are delicious. Now I can make it for my entire family!

amazing cheese class and the presenter Carolyn Montgomery was wonderful, friendly, made us laugh, and made it a memorable experience. We definitely want to do the class again but with our family and friends. We also will be signing up for the cocktail class as well. This class is highly recommended for anyone who loves cheese. Good for a date night or a family outing
