Steamed Bao Buns

Learn the art of making soft, pillowy mini Bao Buns completely from scratch! Easily steamed, they are even more fun to fill with your ingredients of choice.

Choose between a vegan (featuring zucchinis, carrots, cabbage, and leeks) or seasoned ground beef filling. Follow the process of making the dough and allowing it to prove while you make your filling of choice. You'll also learn to make a Siopao dipping sauce from scratch. This class is the best of both worlds as you will get to practice working with dough as well as sharpening your cooking and knife skills. You'll be making Bao Buns at home in no time!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Chef Sandro is originally from Mexico.  He believes that the best way to learn about a culture is by traveling. That’s why he's had the opportunity to travel a bit around Europe and South America.

In addition to traveling, he likes to read cookbooks and learn languages.  He speaks Spanish, English and French.  He is currently interested in Hydroponics and healthy food. Food can be delicious and healthy at the same time.  He also loves milkshakes!

Masks are recommended when social distancing is not possible during class. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Guests with single tickets may be asked to work with another individual or small group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

We had a terrible experience at a previous class, so we really wanted to try another CocoSocial event. This one was so much fun!! Chef Sandro was very loud and clear with instructions and made everyone feel welcome in the class. Every part of the recipe was explained with detail and we were actually able to take away so much. We appreciated the Chef's helpfulness and attentiveness to ensure that everyone ended up with delicious food. We would definitely consider another class with Chef Sandro. Thanks for a fun class!
