Learn the art of making soft, pillowy mini Bao Buns completely from scratch! Easily steamed, they are even more fun to fill with your ingredients of choice.
Choose between a vegan (featuring zucchinis, carrots, cabbage, and leeks) or seasoned ground beef filling. Follow the process of making the dough and allowing it to prove while you make your filling of choice. You'll also learn to make a Siopao dipping sauce from scratch. This class is the best of both worlds as you will get to practice working with dough as well as sharpening your cooking and knife skills. You'll be making Bao Buns at home in no time!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
Chef Sandro is originally from Mexico. He believes that the best way to learn about a culture is by traveling. That’s why he's had the opportunity to travel a bit around Europe and South America.
In addition to traveling, he likes to read cookbooks and learn languages. He speaks Spanish, English and French. He is currently interested in Hydroponics and healthy food. Food can be delicious and healthy at the same time. He also loves milkshakes!
