This class combines a cooking lesson on how to master a classic Risotto along with some wine education from Chef Michele, who is also a certified Sommelier!

Join Chef Michele in her Cape Cod kitchen as she guides you step-by-step in preparing the perfect Risotto. Choose between two suggested recipes: Mushroom or Seafood Risotto. Based on your choice, Chef Michele has provided some suggested wine pairings to prepare ahead of class (within the recipe you will receive).
How you participate in the wine tasting portion of class is entirely up to you! Choose one of the suggested wines and enjoy a nice glass throughout the class, or partake in a guided tasting by pouring a few ounces of each type into a clean glass. When the Risotto is ready to be enjoyed, Chef Michele will engage the class in a tasting and discussion. Learn which wines accentuate the flavors in your dish and what to look for when choosing a wine to pair with different Italian foods. You may even discover your new favorite variety!

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef include: onion, garlic, olive oil, butter, broth, arborio rice, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, fresh herbs, and your selected wine(s) of choice.

Chef Michele is a certified Culinarian and certified Wine and Spirits expert, having extensive experience as a Pastry Chef and Prep Chef. She received her Certified Culinarian and Prochef Certification from the Culinary Institute of America. Additionally, Chef Michele is a Wine Steward and Sommelier, receiving her Certified Wine and Spirits Expert Level 3 from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET). In addition to these accolades, Chef Michele is a successful business owner and operator, having experience with several internet sales and services businesses. Chef Michele enjoys elegant entertaining, fishing, Cape Cod beach life and creating new and exciting culinary treats! She also thrives on sharing her culinary and wine knowledge with all!
