Learn the art of making soft, pillowy mini Bao Buns completely from scratch! Easily steamed, they are even more fun to fill with your ingredients. You will learn to make a Char Siu-Style Beef where you gain insight on how to properly marinate and cook the beef as well as a vegetable option (featuring tofu and pickled vegetables)  Follow the process of making the dough and allowing it to prove while you make your filling of choice. This class is the best of both worlds as you will get to practice working with dough as well as sharpening your cooking and knife skills.  You'll be making Bao Buns at home in no time!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are not included in the ticket price. Parking is offered at $15 but will be validated if a purchase is made the hotel bar Manchester 1441.

Chef Amy is a culinary expert with over 15 years of experience. She honed her skills at Orange Coast College in Southern California, and now she's passing on her knowledge as an instructor. Chef Amy is dedicated to sustainable cooking practices and firmly believes that "Feeding people isn't the same as nourishing them."

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Chef Amy is an absolute delight! The bao buns were amazing! I appreciate that it was beef and not pork. My friend and I will be back! We throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Chef Amy was absolutely phenomenal! She provided a professional but comfy experience. Everything was prepared to make the class flow as smooth as possible. Her energy was contagious and she encouraged all of us to experiment with our taste preferences. Her instruction and teaching was also amazing and I came out of the class with some new techniques/facts. The food was delicious all around and left me yearning for more, even as I type this review. I would strongly recommend the experience for anyone interested in cooking or even just to taste some yummy food. Very worth the price and I can't wait to attend another class soon!

The class was so much fun! Chef Amy was friendly and explained things thoroughly and clearly for us during the class. The food came out so good as well and we left full. Definitely going to do another class in the future.

My group of 4 really enjoyed the class. We enjoyed having Chef Amy as our teacher. We were a bit worried that we would not get everything done, since it was only a 2 hour class, and it takes a while to get the dough to rise before you can make the buns. We did get it all done with additional time and glad it worked out. Her husband and helper were great to have to help Chef Amy. Overall, we had a great time learning and making these bao buns and fillings.
