Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and learn how to create your own fresh sushi rolls like a pro? You are in for a special treat!

In this highly interactive and hands-on class, the Chef will let you in on tips and tricks of making delicious sushi rolls, from preparing the perfect sushi rice, cutting the fresh ingredients properly, and the art of rolling. This casual and easy to follow class will surely engage all your senses! All participants will make three variations - the popular Spicy Tuna Roll, a Veggie Roll, and a "Chef's catch of the day" which will make use of fresh, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.

All you need to bring to this class is your curiosity and appetite! You can be confident this class will be an absolute delight whether the occasion is for a family activity, team building event, or surprising your partner on a romantic date night.  The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  Outside drinks are not allowed. Our venue partner offers drinks available for purchase at the hotel bar.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Jayme is a private chef and culinary instructor with more than a decade of experience in professional kitchens, specializing in Seafood and Japanese cuisine with an emphasis on seafood technique, knife skills, and clear, confidence-building instruction. He is recognized as a top izakaya by Bon Appetit. In addition to restaurant work, Jayme has supported World Central Kitchen, contributing to large-scale meal preparation and food distribution efforts across the U.S. and around the globe through WCK’s disaster-response operations.

As a side note- he may or may not have briefly stepped foot in a Michelin-starred kitchen or two—and, in a plot twist no one asked for, is also a practicing lawyer. His approach to teaching is practical, organized, and technique-driven, focused on helping students cook with confidence and respect for ingredients.

To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes.  Classes are intended for adults 21+.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
