Authentic Asian Dumplings

Discover the flavorful world of Asian Dumplings!

In this hands-on cooking class, our Chef Instructor will teach you how to make dumplings with explosive flavor and the perfect texture.

Guests will master the recipes for either a traditional pork or vegetarian filling and will learn a variety of traditional folding techniques.

Our Chef Instructor will demonstrate how to make dumpling dough from scratch (recipe will be provided), while you will use dumpling wrappers, in the interest of time, during the class.  You will learn the steaming method for cooking the dumplings, which is easy to replicate at home to enjoy your dumplings as fresh as possible.  By the end of class you'll have walked away having learned the function of ingredients, fundamental technique, and the ability to maximize flavor.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but we will be available for purchase at our venue partner.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Bikram is an entrepreneur, culinary educator, and author with thirty years of experience in the hospitality, adventure tourism, and culinary sectors. He has traveled around the world, studying international culture and cuisine with chefs and locals. As a culinary instructor at Western Culinary Institute, Le Cordon Bleu, and Oregon Culinary Institute. He now works as a freelance culinary educator, offering lectures and private classes on Asian food, herbs and spices, and Mediterranean cuisine. Recently, Chef Bikram published a Nepalese cookbook, "The Mystic Kitchens of Nepal," which explores Nepal's diverse ethnic flavors from the flatland of Terai to the highlands of the Himalayas. The book delves into Nepal's culinary journey, rich regional cuisine history, traditions, and exclusive recipes.

Guest requirement

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks will be available for purchase at the venue.

To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes.  Classes are intended for adults 18+.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
