Escape to the streets of Tokyo as we create Japanese Ramen Noodle Soup!
In this entertaining, hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating a widely loved dish, renowned for its rich broth, abundance of noodles and endless toppings! Use foundational knife skills to prep your fresh ingredients and learn about the essentials for creating a complex bowl of Ramen at home. Japanese cooking is about preparation, technique, and layering flavors. This class will discuss tares which translates to “sauce”. We will discuss the history of the four main tares: shio (salt) shoyu (soy sauce) miso (fermented soybean) and tonkatsu. The final step comes with the satisfaction of garnishing your bowl with delicious toppings. This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys Asian flavors and wants to learn more about how to recreate these dishes.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. BYOB is restricted. Our venue partner, The Moxy Hotel has a full bar with drinks available to purchase.
