Tacos are the quintessential street food. There are so many different styles, all of which originate from Mexico. In this fully hands on class, learn to make fresh corn tortillas, using a tortilla press, from scratch. Our expert chef instructor received her culinary degree in Mexico City, will walk you through the process of making two types of taco fillings (chicken and zucchini).
But, don't forget the salsas! Our chef will share her staple recipes for a salsa verde and a flavorful red salsa with chipotle chile. You'll be recreating these recipes for your own guests at home in no time!
Join us and learn to master the staples of Mexican cuisine. No experience is required! All equipment and ingredients will be provided, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, which means guests are welcome to BYOB.

Chef Pia was born in Mexico City. She received culinary degrees both in Mexico, as well as The Art Institute of Dallas. She has worked at Cowboy Stadium as a Pastry Sous Chef and broadened her experience with some teaching, as a culinary instructor at The Art Institute of Dallas.
Her culinary specialities are Mexican and Italian cuisines. She can't wait to share how wonderful Mexican cuisine is with her CocuSocial guests!
