Souffle Pancakes: Think cottony clouds of heaven that melt in your mouth! They are fluffy, airy, delicate pancakes and yet look sophisticated enough to serve at Sunday Brunch! You can’t miss the fizzy, bubbly sound from the souffle pancakes when you cut them open to enjoy!
In this wickedly indulgent class, our experienced Chef Instructor will guide you step-by-step, in how to recreate these popular, instagram-worthy pancakes in a restaurant quality fashion in your very own home. After learning how to master the technique of creating the batter and cooking these jiggly pancakes, you will explore both sweet and savory ways of enjoying these pancakes.
For a savory pancake, our Chef Instructor will showcase ingredients such as bacon, cabbage, bonito flakes, mayonnaise, sesame seeds, and seaweed sprinkles to introduce a flavor reminiscent of a popular Japanese street food item, okonomiyaki. For a sweet pancake, you will have a plethora of toppings to choose from such as fresh, seasonal fruits, chocolate syrup, butter, maple syrup, whipped cream, and vanilla ice-cream. Our Chef Instructor may also have a special surprise topping such as lemon curd glaze or matcha white chocolate! Are we drooling yet? At the conclusion of your class, devour your decadent creations and decide which version 'takes the cake'.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 3-4.
