Bring the whole family and discover the joy of making pizza from scratch together! In this interactive, hands-on class, you'll learn the basics of pizza making while creating delicious memories in the kitchen. Along the way, you'll explore a bit of pizza history, discover regional pizza styles, and see how this beloved dish has evolved into the many varieties we enjoy today.
Our Chef Instructor will guide everyone through each step with a live demonstration before helping you make your own pizza dough from scratch. You'll learn how to choose the right flour, practice basic kneading techniques, and discover the secrets to achieving a perfectly crisp and flavorful crust.
This family-style class is designed for adults and children ages 10 and older. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Whether you're introducing a young chef to the kitchen or sharing a new experience as a family, this class offers the perfect blend of learning, creativity, and fun.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen.
You will be seated with your family members and will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Aprons will be provided for you to use throughout class. BYOB is welcome.
After graduating from culinary school Chef Yen channeled that passion into launching a successful catering company in San Diego, delivering flavorful, beautifully presented meals with exceptional service.
Since becoming a mother of two, Yen focused on homeschooling and perfecting quick, nutritious home-cooked meals, curating ingredients, recipes, and tools that make healthy eating simple and satisfying for families.
In her classes, Chef Yen shows that homemade pizza takes no longer than delivery but offers fresher, healthier results and joyful shared moments. She builds kitchen confidence using mise en place ("everything in its place) principles that apply to any meal and beyond.
BYOB is welcome. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Guests who are 21 and over are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only).
