Italian Date Night: Handmade Ravioli with Bolognese Sauce

Due to limited seating, and to ensure proper social distancing is in place, this class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Join us for a night in Italy to learn the secret of creating Ravioli from scratch. These Italian "dumplings" stuffed with rich ricotta cheese and tossed in satisfying scratch-made beef bolognese sauce will be sure to lure even the pickiest eater to the table.

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step through basic knife skills, how to make pasta dough and filling from scratch, shaping and cutting the dough into perfect ravioli squares , then cooking them to perfection. You will also partake in making a classic bolognese sauce to pull the dish together. Once you have created your masterpiece, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious cooking party! You will gain insight on how to source fresh, seasonal ingredients and specialty spices in order to recreate the perfect Italian date night at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you are part of a large group. BYOB is restricted. Our venue partner, Duckfoot Brewing will have a great selection of pours available for purchase.

Hailing from New York where he gained his culinary degree and training, Chef Scott has excellent experience working with some of the top chefs, restaurant groups, and catering companies and has recently relocated to Tampa. He now offers teaching classes and his culinary expertise around Tampa for a wide range of clients.

We brew our beer here on Miramar Road and are open 7 days a week. Our beers pour right out of the same cold box where all our fresh kegs and cans are stored. We usually have a dozen or more taps flowing for samples, flights and pints. You can also fill up growlers, buy cans and check out kegs we have available. Come on over and join us!
Guest requirement

BYOB is restricted. Our venue partner, Duckfoot Brewing will have a great selection of pours available for purchase. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Chef Scott is amazing!! We had 22 people in our class but he was so hands on and personable that we all felt that individual attention! He made the instruction flow very well and we were all able to keep up and the cook went well. He gave great hints and cooking cues to keep it simple. The food turned out delicious! It was a great date night!! We will definetly be joining him for other classes in the future!!

Chef Scott is the man. From the second we walked in, he had this easy, down-to-earth energy that made the whole class feel like you were cooking in your cool friend’s kitchen—if that friend just happened to be a total master of Italian cuisine. I actually booked this class three months in advance as a surprise for my wife—she’s utterly obsessed with Bolognese. I mean, if there was a fan club, she’d be president. As obsessed as she is with Bolognese, I’m equally obsessed with making her happy, and this experience was a total win. The handmade ravioli was next level, the Bolognese sauce had everyone in the room quiet from how good it was (you know it’s serious when no one’s talking), and the vibe throughout the night was fun, relaxed, and full of laughter. Honestly, if you’re trying to impress a date, win some serious brownie points, or just have an unforgettable time with a friend, this is the event. Thank you, Chef Scott—you made us feel like Italian culinary rockstars for a night.
