The Art of Chocolate Making

Dive into the lusciously delicious land of chocolate making!

Come join us as we learn how to create how to melt and temper chocolate. You will learn to create truffles with creamy ganache filling with the option of crunchy additions to customize your chocolates and bonbons. Take home amazing recipes along with a truly decadent experience.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you are part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.

Pastry chef Alexis has worked in a range of bakeries, hotels and restaurants as well as food competitions in Alaska and San Diego over the course of ten years. She found her true love in pastry and chocolate confections.

Guest requirement
Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Charlie & Echo is open an hour before and after the class. Enjoy wines by the glass or tasting flights!
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Our chef was wonderful and taught us some of the history of chocolate and how truffles were made. I was disappointed that we didn't leave with recipe cards, but with instructions to contact Cocusocial- to me it seems like an extra step vs. simply printing and having recipe cards/instructions on file for everyone to take with them. The location was fun and I'm glad I got to experience a new winery in San Diego.
