Is there anything better than layers and layers of hand tossed pasta with mouth watering zesty tomato sauce and globs of whole milk ricotta? We certainly don’t think so! That’s what this lesson is all about. Not your average “from the box” lasagna, but this is the real deal! We start by hand making our sheets of pasta. Learn the art of pasta dough and how to roll it out into paper thin sheets of Italian goodness. While you roll, the chef will rock the tomato sauce – showing you step by step how to make a fresh, zesty, farm to table tomato sauce that compliments our final dish to perfection. Then come the layers! We put it together with fresh mozzarella, ricotta and romano cheeses. We lay in fresh basil leaves, oregano and cracked pepper. Then we put our secret ingredient in! You’ll have to sign up to find out what puts the “ah!” in lasagna!
But wait! No meal is complete without the sweet! We will also make a super simple homemade zabaglione custard. A superb way to finish off a great Italian meal, and you won’t believe how easy it is! Tutti A Tavola! (Everyone to the table!)
The ticket is on per person basis* No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets in case you wish to recreate the dish on your own after the class. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing)
