Escape to the bustling streets of exciting Barcelona while exploring the world of Spanish Tapas!

In this energetic and interactive class, you will learn how to master three restaurant-worthy tapas which are well-renowned in Spain. Our Chef Instructor will enlighten you on the background of Tapas, before taking you through a detailed demonstration of how to construct each of the dishes. You will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to make three classic Tapas including: Ham and Cheese Croquetas with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelette) and Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp). After creating your Spanish masterpieces, join your new found foodie friends and enjoy your Tapas creations to your hearts content! Buen Provecho!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. This class is BYOB - guests who are 21 and over are invited to bring beer, wine, or champagne to enjoy throughout class.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Peter was born and raised in Berkeley's gourmet ghetto neighborhood, home of Chez Panisse, the Cheeseboard and the very first location of Peet's coffee. Chef Peter has been a chef for more than 30 years and says “I have been a foodie from birth”. After graduating from cooking school, he worked with many of the founders of California Cuisine including Jeremiah Tower, Mark Miller and Bradley Ogden. He was also one of the key chefs for the groundbreaking pop up supper clubs Ghetto Gourmet and Canvas Underground. He is currently a private chef for an Italian family in the East Bay Area and travels extensively through Northern Italy eating and studying the local cuisine.

Guest requirement
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. BYOB-for those over the age of 21, Beer or Wine is welcome. Shared SF street parking in the evenings and weekends is easily available. There is also a paid parking lot on Oak Grove (an alley across the street from SHARED) for $8/day. SHARED is five blocks from Powell Montgomery Bart and three blocks from CalTrain. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
