In this fun and hands-on class, you'll be expertly guided through the process of creating a Thai curry masterpiece, known for its balance of the four fundamental taste senses and aromatic components. Chef Joey will lead you through preparing and layering the ingredients as well as talking a bit about Thai food culture and finding local food substitutions for some fun things you may have never even heard of! You will learn essential knife skills, perfect the art of preparing traditional ingredients, and master the intricacies of crafting an authentic Thai curry paste from scratch. After creating your culinary creation based on your preference of red or green curry combined with your choice of chicken or tofu and a variety of fresh veggies, indulge in plating, garnishing, and enjoying your dish alongside fellow food enthusiasts. Gain valuable insights into sourcing fresh, seasonal ingredients and unique spices, empowering you to replicate the perfect Thai curry in your own kitchen.

This class is BYOB - bring your favorite beer, wine, and champagne! Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and check in. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 or 3 may be asked to share their station with other participants.

To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+.

Chef Joey Moore has spent almost 20 years working his way up and around in various restaurants in the Bay Area. He earned his skills and knowledge of all classic cuisines, fusion, and some interesting things in between by delving into everything he could get his hands on. He has a passion for sustainability with a focus on food waste. He also spent a short period of time at a cooking school outside of Chiang Mai.

Guest requirement
This class is BYOB - bring your favorite beer, wine, and champagne! Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and check in. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 or 3 may be asked to share their station with other participants. Shared SF street parking in the evenings and weekends is easily available. There is also a paid parking lot on Oak Grove (an alley across the street from SHARED) for $8/day. SHARED is five blocks from Powell Montgomery Bart and three blocks from CalTrain. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
