Asian Dumplings

Description

Discover the flavorful world of Asian Dumplings!

In this hands-on cooking class experience, our Chef Instructor will teach guests how to make traditional dumpling dough from scratch. Then guests will make three different types of fillings to fill their homemade dumplings, using a variety of chef-demonstrated folding techniques. The three dumplings to be made in class include: ginger chicken pot stickers, shiitake dumplings, and shrimp shumai. Your Chef Instructor will demonstrate how to both steam and pan fry the dumplings so you can practice on your own at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated within your group. Guests within the same booking party will work together throughout the class. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+

It was a really yummy and fun class, although there was not enough dough, and what dough we had was not well spread out among the class. Our entire table of 8 participants each only made 6 dumplings because we did not have enough (asked for more but were left hanging) and thus were finished making them long before the others in the class had finished and left with nothing to do, and then very little to eat once we were done. Other than this, John was great and the set-up of the class was great! Just needed to let us make more dough, given it takes no more than 5 minutes and only two ingredients...we were all more than happy to make the extra ourselves if we had been allowed to:)
