There’s nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, and creating it yourself.

If you love fresh ravioli but don't think you could ever replicate what you would order from a restaurant, this class will prove you wrong. Our experienced Chef Instructor will demystify the process, sharing secrets for making perfect pasta dough every time. Our Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating the art of ravioli making, from rolling and cutting dough to filling and cooking your ravioli.

Learn our Chef Instructor’s special recipe for four cheese ravioli (ricotta, provolone, parmesan, and asiago), sautéed with roasted tomatoes, pesto, garlic, kales, and toasted walnuts. Is your mouth watering yet??

No experience necessary! Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. The only requirement is a fun attitude and a love of good food. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get settled.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef John has maintained Executive Chef positions in country clubs, resorts and restaurants all over the United States. He spent several years as a Culinary Instructor teaching his students everything from basic kitchen skills to Regional & International Cuisines. While working in Minneapolis, he was invited to the White House as a guest chef to contribute to Michelle Obama's national campaign against childhood obesity. Chef John now owns a hospitality service company Twenty-four Sixty-eight Culinary based in Seattle. When he is not teaching or serving delicious cuisine he enjoys hiking, fishing, and of course recipe development.

Guest requirement
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. The hotel is offering a special self parking rate of $5 + taxes for guests who are taking this class.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

We enjoyed John. He was engaging with each person, funny, and explained everything very well. The hands on experience of making ravioli was unique and fun. We would have liked to have had the walnut pesto sauce that was advertised rather than the red sauce. We would have enjoyed a better sit down experience for the dinner portion with maybe a salad to complement the meal. Otherwise we loved it and will book again.

I really enjoyed the class. I thought the instructor was really fun and gave us lots of examples of what we might encounter making these at home. That being said, some of the instructions were a bit confusing. He would change his mind and have us do something different which was fine, but I was left feeling a little off in the moment. The final product was ok although I think without the miscommunication it may have been better. Also some preplanning/laying out equipment may have made the experience nicer vs finding the brushes were moldy after handling them or digging through a bag for a knife 🙃.

The class was great fun! Chef John explained the process in great detail and we feel like we learned enough to try making Ravioli at home ourselves. We would have loved if we were given a chance to make the filling ourselves too.
