Explore fresh pasta in this hands-on workshop!
Join Chef Sara for a fun, interactive cooking class where you’ll learn to craft three popular pasta shapes—Pappardelle, Farfalle, and Cavatelli—completely from scratch. Store-bought pasta is great, but homemade is so much better—and you’ll discover just how simple it can be to prepare these shapes at home, with or without special equipment.
From mixing and kneading silky dough to shaping each style by hand, Chef Sara will guide you step-by-step, helping you build the skills and confidence to recreate these Italian favorites in your own kitchen.
What You’ll Make:
After shaping your fresh pasta, Chef Sara will show you how to cook a delicious Roman classic: Pasta alla Gricia—often referred to as the “Mother of All Roman Pastas.” This simple yet rich dish highlights the beauty of fresh ingredients and traditional technique.
Whether you’re planning a fun date night, a family-friendly outing, or simply want to expand your cooking repertoire, this class blends hands-on learning with lively conversation and plenty of tasting. All tools and ingredients are provided!

Chef Sara discovered her love for cooking growing up in South Florida and refined her skills at Johnson & Wales University, later deepening her commitment to sustainability during four years as a fishmonger at WFM. With over 12 years in the Seattle dining scene, she has cooked at acclaimed restaurants such as Terra Plata, Staple & Fancy, Tarsan i Jane, and Sitka & Spruce, and most recently owned Finch & Pine, a sustainably focused, dairy-free café in Capitol Hill. Now a private chef and cooking instructor, she enjoys exploring diverse cuisines and strives to share love through every dish she creates.
