Bun Cha: Vietnamese Meat Balls with Vermicelli Noodles

Description

Bun Cha is Vietnamese meatballs with delicious sauce often served with fresh vermicelli rice noodles and plenty of vegetables such as lettuce and sweet and sour pickled carrots and radish. If you like Vietnamese food, you will LOVE bun cha as these flattened meatballs that are crispy and nicely charred on the outside and juicy in the inside have all the authentic flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. The most fun part about this class is using your own two hands to mix, roll, and shape the meatballs before cooking them to perfection!

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this traditional Vietnamese dish. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly handle the meat and how to create a flavorful and healthy dish and serve along with simple and quick pickles also made from scratch and fresh vermicelli noodles! Once you have created your dish, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party!

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: ground pork ( or other types of ground meat), sugar, shallot, spring onions, garlic, red chili, carrots, molasses, fish sauce, salt, sugar, white vinegar, coriander, mint, cucumber, and lettuce. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.

Prepare your mis-en-place ahead of the session, grab your favorite drinks, and get ready to join a fun virtual cooking party! Ticket is on a per-person basis. Please note the time is in Eastern Time Zone!

Great class, very clear instruction. This is a fun way to try a dish I wasn't familiar with and have great guidance along the way to make it seem so easy. Delicious too :)
