Join Chef Troy for a fun, hands-on sushi-making experience designed especially for beginners! In this interactive class, you'll learn how to create delicious sushi rolls from scratch, from preparing perfectly seasoned sushi rice to mastering rolling techniques and assembling fresh, flavorful ingredients. Chef Troy will guide you step-by-step through the process, making sushi approachable, fun, and easy to recreate at home.
What You Will Learn:
You'll learn how to prepare sushi rice, work with traditional sushi ingredients, and master the techniques behind creating three popular rolls: a California Roll, a Spicy Salmon Roll, and a Veggie Maki Roll. Along the way, you'll gain confidence in rolling, slicing, and plating your sushi while learning tips and tricks used by professional sushi chefs.
No Experience Necessary:
Whether you're planning a unique date night, looking for a fun outing with friends, or simply eager to try something new, this class offers the perfect blend of culinary education, creativity, and social connection. All ingredients, tools, and equipment are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Our classes are designed to be fun and accessible for everyone, whether you're a sushi enthusiast or trying your hand at sushi-making for the very first time. Your station will be fully prepared with everything needed for a successful and enjoyable experience, making this a great activity for team building, celebrations, or a memorable night out.

You will be seated with your booking party, and guests in the same booking will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are not included in the ticket price. Outside beverages are not permitted.
Chef Troy is a seasoned culinary professional with over 30 years of experience in management, teaching, and training. Formally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, he has built a career dedicated to both culinary excellence and education. He currently serves as the Culinary Coordinator for C-CAP, overseeing programs in Washington, D.C., Prince George’s County, Baltimore City, Miami, and the Houston Public School District. In addition, he is the Executive Chef at Grace’s Event Center in Waldorf, where he continues to bring his passion for food and mentorship to the forefront.
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. Classes intended for 18+.
