You will learn how to use the whole pineapple by take the flesh of the fruit and stir-frying with chicken for mouthwatering sticky sweet and sour stir-fried pineapple chicken as well as the shell as a lovely bowls to serve your masterpiece in.

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this Thai inspired dish. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly handle the meat and how to create a flavorful and healthy stir-fry to serve along with steamed rice! Finishing touches of cashews and scallions round out the dish and add authentic flavors of Asian cuisine. The meal is not complete without a sweet ending - Chef Huong will also show you how to make a simple yet decadent Vietnamese coconut tapioca dessert that will melt in your mouth. Once you have created your dish, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party!

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Some ingredients can be easily substituted and our Chef will teach you how to make the most of what you already have on hand. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: chicken or any other protein of your choice such as tofu, shrimp, etc., a whole pineapple, red bell pepper, white onion, egg, cornstarch, salt & pepper, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, oil, finally scallions and toasted cashews for garnish. For dessert, you will need corn kernels (from a can), tapioca pearls, coconut cream (NOT coconut milk), sugar, and vanilla extract. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.

Inspired by her mother who used to be the Head Chef at the Embassies, Chef Huong continued to master her expertise not only in Asian cuisines but also Italian cuisine, and pastry art and cake decoration. We don't want anyone falling behind so please make sure you have your ingredients and equipment prepared, measured, and ready so that you can cook along with our Chef in real time! Some ingredients may require you to pre-cook (such as rice) before the session begins. A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.

Excellent class! This is my second class with chef Huong! She is truly amazing! She handled a large class with some members who came in late and some that didn’t have proper ingredients (including myself) very well and everyone got individualized attention! The dish was very tasty! Overall outstanding experience and I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone interested in sweet and sour chicken!
