New York Bagels

Description

To ensure proper social distancing is in place, this venue can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes New York Bagels the best? Join us for our newest class that will teach you the art to making your very own bagels from scratch! You will learn the process from kneading the dough, shaping it into bagels, proving the dough, boiling and then baking the bagels. You will add your topping of choice to each bagel and even make some spreads to enjoy at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Please ensure you arrive with proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a form of ID for each participant. This class is NOT BYOB and drinks are NOT available for purchase at the venue. You will be provided with a takeaway container to enjoy your bagels at home after class, free from wearing your mask.

Chef Joey was AMAZING! So kind, funny and helpful - really put us at ease about what I thought might be an intimidating process to craft beautiful handmade bagels. It was fun and delicious and I highly recommend taking this class!

We had a great time! We learned a lot about the history and science of New York bagels and created a 1/2 dozen beautiful, delicious bagels under the expert direction of Chef Simon. It was a relaxed, well paced, hands-on experience.

Chef Simon is a wonderful instructor. Patient, kind, and makes the seemingly complex very simple. I can’t wait to make some bagels at home! Thx for a great family Saturday adventure!

It felt like we could have done some of the steps together instead of watching it and then doing it. For example we all could have mixed the yeast with the water at the same time.
