Duck à l’Orange (or Canard à l’Orange) is a classic French dish featuring a delicious sweet and sour sauce. During this class, you will learn how to prepare a classic French dinner party including duck breast with orange sauce, fondant potatoes, and glazed onions. Enjoy this wonderful meal with your favorite people!

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Some essential ingredients for this class include: duck breasts, orange, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, red wine vinegar, orange juice, chicken stock, arrowroot or white corn flour, sugar, russet potatoes, olive oil or vegetable oil, butter, garlic, bay leaf, a few sprigs of fresh thyme, pearl onions, salt and pepper.

You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions. Ticket is on a per-person basis. Prepare your mis-en-place ahead of the session (this step is crucial!) grab your apron, and get ready to join a fun virtual cooking party! Former Modern Dancer and 'survivor of the 1960s' Fran retired from her job as a portfolio manager in 2011 to attend the Paris Le Cordon Bleu school. She completed her diploma in Cuisine in 2014 and has taught French and Spanish cooking to adults both in Australia and the United States.

We will be sending you a list of ingredients and equipment you would need for this class. Please make sure you have your ingredients and equipment prepped and ready so that you can cook along with our Chef in real time! Some ingredients may require you to prepare before the session begins. A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
