Be transported to Paris, via the East Village, for an afternoon of learning the art of French Pastry!
Join us for a delightful, hands-on class where you'll master the art of Choux pastry. Class takes place in a private professional pastry studio that is set up specifically for hosting cooking classes. Despite its reputation for being challenging, Choux is surprisingly easy to make! Under the expert guidance of our Pastry Chef Instructor, you'll start with a detailed demonstration, followed by a step-by-step process to create the perfect choux dough. You'll learn to pipe, bake, and fill your dough to create 4-5 delicious Eclairs and Cream Puffs.
Once you've mastered these simple recipes, you'll be able to tackle a variety of pastries that many bakers shy away from. By the end of the class, you'll also have the skills to make Gougères, Churros, French Cruller Donuts, and Choux Beignets. Don't miss this opportunity to expand your pastry repertoire!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Please note that guests in parties of 3 or less may be paired with other participants. This class is NOT BYOB and drinks are NOT available for purchase at the venue. You will be provided with a takeaway container to enjoy your food at home after class.
As a trained French pastry chef, Simon likes to concoct exquisite desserts with a unique blend of flavors and textures. Creating a new pastry is always a challenge, but the excitement of presenting it for the first time to food-lovers, family, and friends is the driving force. He is most passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with everyone he meets.
Everyone MUST wash & sanitize hands upon arrival and remain at their stations throughout the class. At the time of checking in please give the name on your reservation in order to ensure a smooth process. Please note that guests in parties of 3 or less may be paired with other participants.
