A little bit of hummus can go a long way, as an appetizer or accompanying a main meal. But, did you every think of just how easy it is to make it yourself at home?
In this fun and hands-on class unlock the secret to making the perfect mezze spread to wow your future dinner party guests. We will work with the basic ingredients for a classic hummus, but guests will be able to experiment with creating some flavored dips as well.
Next, we'll break some bread...(homemade pita bread that is!) which you will make from scratch yourself! We will use a quick rise yeast, and make a scratch dough to yield four pita breads each. Shape, roll, and bake your breads to perfection. Once you know the secret to making it from scratch, you'll never want to buy pita bread from the grocery store ever again.
Guests will be invited to enjoy their bread warm with their fresh and creamy spread at the end of class. Everyone is welcome to BYOB to the mezze party. Chef Rich will also have a welcome drink (wine or beer) available for each guest to enjoy.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests in the same booking party will sit and work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.
