We cordially invite you to a fabulous French cooking and dining experience hosted by award winning Chef Houman, in his home based in National Harbor. Taking a spin on classic French dish, Duck a l'Orange, this class will feature chicken instead of duck while involving all the authentic flavors of sophisticated orange sauce infused with Grand Marnier. Accompanying the main dish is simple yet elegant wilted spinach. In addition, you will enjoy fresh Organic Field Greens in Poached Tomato Cup with Herb Vinaigrette for a complete culinary experience. This would be an excellent way to treat your special someone on a fun, delicious, and unforgettable date!
In this highly hands-on, interactive class, you will learn step by step how to clean and prepare the chicken, create orange sauce from scratch, then properly cooking the spinach side dish. There will be plenty of practical and helpful knife skills along every step that you can apply in your own home kitchen. Once you have finished making you dish, we will dine together and say cheers to celebrate the fruits of our labor!
When we say "small group size", we mean it. Chef Houman is currently only receiving up to 8 people to his class at a time. If you are joining with a partner or another pair of friends, please make one booking on behalf of everyone. Whether it is your partner, friend, or a family member, you can be sure this experience will help create special memories in a safe, intimate, and clean setting. No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets in case you wish to recreate the dish on your own after the class. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
