Handmade Pasta with Vodka Sauce

Description

There’s nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, and creating it yourself.

In this hands-on class you will learn how to make pasta from scratch, the old fashioned way. Most home cooks don't keep a pasta machine in their homes. So we will be rolling our pasta out using a rolling pin and our arms. Cooking with a side of arm workout! You will have the option of making beet, spinach, or vegetable infused pasta dough.

To serve with your delicious pasta, you will also master the art of making vodka sauce from scratch. This will be a unique recipe that Chef Samantha makes herself. Some fun ingredients include her homemade cured bacon that she hickory smoked in her backyard and purple basil infused vodka. The Roma tomatoes used in the sauce were grown in her very own garden. So let's recap, you'll get a beautiful homemade pasta meal, be able to work with unique and homegrown ingredients, and a toning arm routine by way of some dough an a rolling pin. What a day! Once you have created your beautiful plate of pasta, you will receive a takeaway container to bring your food home with you to enjoy.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, most of which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive on time, wearing your mask. Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Samantha's home with ample space to social distance booking parties from one another. Chef Samantha is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines.

She followed her passion by moving to Florida to work for Disney and later attended culinary school at Orlando Culinary Academy's Le Cordon Bleu program. Her passion then led her to become a Culinary Instructor and loves to share her knowledge with people who want to learn.
