Stromboli From Scratch

Description

Stromboli is the perfect family meal! Roll your choice of meats, cheeses, and vegetables into a freshly made dough and bake it to perfection.

Choose between vegetarian or meat (ground, pepperoni, or salami), and join Chef Jason in his Manhattan kitchen as he teaches you the secret to making the most delicious Stromboli from scratch. Follow the process of making the dough and allowing it to prove in the oven while you prepare your fillings. You'll also learn to make a tomato-based dipping sauce from scratch, flavoring it to your preference with onions, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, or Soy sauce. Roll your fillings within the dough and away it goes in the oven until golden and cheesy!

This class is kid friendly, so invite the whole family along to join in. Connect virtually and enjoy a fun time creating something from scratch, together. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jason throughout the class.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: all-purpose flour, yeast, oil, sugar, salt, cornmeal, ground meat or pepperoni/salami, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, pepper, vegetables of choice (if vegetarian), and tomato puree.

Measure out your ingredients ahead of the session, grab a glass of your favorite drink, and let’s get cooking!

Tickets are on a per-person basis. Please note our class times are in Eastern Time Zone!

Jason is welcoming and knowledgeable. I have had inconsistent results in the past with stromboli. His guidance throughout the class and tips leave me more confident to keep making them with continued success and confidence. Easily the best Stromboli I have ever made. Thoroughly enjoyed the class and will be taking more.

The class was very well taught. The ingredients suggested for the class were considerably more than needed. For example, the ingredient list had 2 cups tomato puree and we used 1/2 cup. I would consider what we made a calzone, rather than a stromboli. But the recipe was good and versatile to know for the future. The teacher gave us lots of good tips.
