Soft Homemade Pretzels

Soft pretzels are such a treat in fall, especially along with a cold refreshing beer in hand. Oktoberfest anyone?!

This class can also be a whole family affair. Chef Jason will teach you the secret to making soft homemade pretzels from scratch. Follow the process of making the dough, which you will do several times throughout class so you'll be an expert pretzel maker in no time! Learn the recipe for three different pretzel flavors: plain, cumin, and raisin. Each will be paired with it's own cheesy dipping sauce, which you will also make along with the chef.

Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun afternoon creating something from scratch, together. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jason throughout the class.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: all purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, active dry yeast, vegetable oil, raisins, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, cumin, onion, lime juice, and lemon juice.

Set up your ingredients ahead of the session, grab a glass of your favorite drink, and let’s get baking!

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Jason has approximately 20 years of cooking experience, including 8 years as a culinary instructor. He has been an instructor of science in public museum settings, which allows him to explore the physical and chemical sides of cooking. Jason also has years of experience teaching children in both elementary science and culinary instruction. He has taught public and private classes in bread, pasta, pizza, and gelato making.

Guest requirement
We will be sending you a list of ingredients and equipment you would need for this class. Please have everything out and ready as described so that you can follow along with our Chef in real time! A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Class was fantastic! We were the only two in the class because the other participants did not show, but Chef Jason did not let that hinder him. He is very personable and and an extremely effective instructor! The pretzels will be delicious. Jason also gave us many cooking tips and secrets which were very helpful as well. Chef Jason is fantastic! I spent a super fun Saturday morning making soft pretzels - he does such a wonderful job making sure we are successful at making the pretzels as well as picking up other cooking skills along the way. The time flew by and the entire group had such fun- I'll be watching for more Chef Jason classes in the future!

This was a well thought-out class because Chef Jason used the pretzel recipe to teach us generalizable skills like making a roux and working with dough. We were able to experiment with different kinds of pretzels and sauces.

Jason was great but I originally hesitated signing up based on previous reviews regarding the recipe not being updated. Please fix this, I pre measured so I found it annoying. Other than that the class was fun.
