Classic Handmade Pasta

Description

There’s nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, and creating it yourself.

Learn how to make the perfect pasta dough and then transform it into beautiful noodles of your choice. You can attempt to make Fettuccine, Tagliatelle, Farfalle, and even Garganelle. Experiment with using a pasta machine to make Fettuccine. Then learn to cut thicker noodles using a knife to form Tagliatelle. Your Chef Instructor will demonstrate, with help from the class, how to make a fresh Tomato Primavera sauce. By the end of class, you will enjoy a comforting plate of pasta topped with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. Buon Apetito!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. However, drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Jennifer's passion is cooking authentic regional cuisine with a room full of newfound friends. Her culinary career started at a young age by peeking over the counter to watch her grandmother make the most amazing huckleberry pies in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. This love of food and culture brought her to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY to study Culinary Arts. She moved to Houston to pursue her Bachelor’s from the Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at The University of Houston. After her formal education, she spent ten years in the industry as a manager and food service director, but she knew her heart was in sharing the love of food with others in the classroom. This will be her 12th year teaching culinary education in high school and college. She looks forward to making food memories with you all very soon.
